Hearing the Call
2020 Trip Information
Would you like to give the gift of hearing? Entheos Audiology Cooperative along with Hearing the Call gives you that chance with one of their many humanitarian trips. We believe in three things: relief, development and empowerment. It is not enough to provide relief but the program strives to establish long-term hearing healthcare and access to those in need. You can be a part of that dream.*
Petén, Guatemala
This is the northernmost department of the country about the size of Ohio. Even though it is covers one-third of the country, it only has 3 percent of the population. The vast expanse is populated with rainforests, savannas and famous Mayan ruins. Because of the smaller population and remoteness, Petén receives very little in the way of services including hearing healthcare.

Tembisa, South Africa

Tembisa was established in 1957 during Apartheid. People were resettled here from other areas in and around Johannesburg. Tembisa is a Nguni name that means "promise" or "hope." We work with our partner eMoya Foundation which has done amazing things in and around South Africa. While in South Africa, you may want to consider staying an extra day to see sights around Johannesburg such as the Cradle of Humankind, a World Heritage Site.
